As an expectant parent, you want your child to be healthy and happy, but you're nervous too because you don't how others will view or understand your child, or love 'it' as you do. To get off the metaphor, I don't know what your strategy for reading reviews, comments etc will be, but I would recommend staying away from early reviews or have a trusted friend give you highlights. I've seen writers who get all kinds of praise but get really depressed by a single negative word. Down the road you'll want to pay attention to negative reviews, at least to look for common themes, in order to improve.
